Staff Notes

Phase 2 Time & Attendance Feature

This Phase 2 Time & Attendance Feature is only available in GTX 5.8.1 or later.

Marlin GTX enables internal notes to be recorded against staff members for future reference.

Notes can be recorded against staff members, to be viewed internally either in Attendance Maintenance or their Staff Maintenance profile.

These can be an update in personal information the staff member has shared, notes on behavioural conduct or anything else worth noting in reference to that staff member.

Note

Unlike the Attendance Notes which reflect the attendance record for your staff on a particular day, the Staff Notes module can be used for more static information about a particular staff member.

Adding Staff Notes in Staff Maintenance

Main > Staff > Manage Staff

To viewed and edit notes in Staff Maintenance:

  • Open the relevant staff member
  • Click on the Notes tab at the top

Notes can then be added and edited following the same process described above.

Note

To add or edit notes in Staff Maintenance, make sure the staff file is in Edit mode.

Adding Staff Notes in Attendance Maintenance

Main > Staff > Manage Attendance

To add an attendance note in Attendance Maintenance:

  • Open the relevant staff member in Edit mode

In the Edit Attendance window:

  • Click on the Add button (top-left)

In the Add Note Details pop-up:

  • Enter a Summary title
  • Enter the full note Detail
  • Click Ok

The note and its summary will be added to the Notes list:

  • The full details of the selected note are shown in the section below
  • Double-click to open and edit note details

Click Save at the top of the module window to save the note against the staff member's profile.
