AUSkey is a secure login that identifies you when you use participating government online services on behalf of a business.

You can use your AUSkey with many government online services such as the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). For more information about a service you want to use, visit the relevant government agency’s website.

What is the setup process for a new AUSkey?

Click on Registering for AUSkey and follow the instructions. You will receive an email with links and instructions to setup AUSkey on your PC or laptop.

What if my AUSkey has stopped working?

If your AUSkey has stopped working with your Chrome, FireFox or Internet Explorer browser, please follow the support steps listed at https://www.ato.gov.au/general/online-services/technical-support/troubleshooting-for-businesses-and-tax-practitioners/#AUSkey.

Note

Microsoft Edge is the web browser supplied with Windows 10 and is not compatible with AUSkey. You will need to install either Firefox or Internet Explorer.
